Job Summary:

Your role will be responsible for developing data products used by our SaaS customers. If you like data, have an analytical mind set and an eye for detail, this is the opportunity for you!

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Be a key contributor in a cross-functional, agile, data engineering and analytics team.
  • Perform data wrangling using a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Develop ETL pipelines using source databases and REST services.
  • Design and build big data analytic applications.
  • Build scalable and supportable data platforms and support the fast-growing data within the business.
  • Integrate with data mining packages (ML, ANNs, Decision Tree, etc.), e.g. the Azure Cortana Intelligence suite
  • Develop, and support the development of, reports and visualizations using Power BI or similar packages.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through well-defined acceptance criteria and testing.
  • Help shape user stories for new capabilities, ensuring data lineage is well managed as part of the process.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in ETL development and backroom processes required.
  • Strong SQL experience, including advanced query concepts and query performance tuning.
  • Experience with standard star schema design and development concepts, including fact table types, grain levels and SCDs required.
  • Experience in cloud computing (PaaS and IaaS) environments; particularly in the Azure cloud.
  • Experience in general-purpose programming language such as C#, Java, or Python.
  • Familiarity with Big Data platforms and pipeline concepts such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar degree required.

Job Summary:

This is a unique position with the operations arm of a mortgage technology company. You will be responsible for daily trade reconciliations/auditing, number review, detailed accuracy and day to day interaction with analysts on the team. If you are a hard worker who loves numbers and enjoys a lively office environment, then this may be the opportunity for you!

Detailed Responsibilities:

Responsible for a variety of tasks, such as:

  • Verbal/electronic confirmation and balancing of MBS trades and investor commitments
  • Addressing and reconciling trade/commitment discrepancies with vendors and customers
  • Execution and transmission of trade assignments
  • Data Entry
  • Ad hoc responsibilities as required

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in accounting/book keeping, auditing and/or reconciliations
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Some college and/or associate’s degree a plus
  • Experience using Excel daily for reconciliations, data verification etc.
  • Must be very comfortable working with technology, learning new technology and is very flexible with changes to platforms, tools etc.
  • Candidate must have a strong work ethic, high attention to detail and excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • This position requires the ability to work as part of a team in a trading environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
