The loan originator can request a lock on an ineligible product through the Exception Request button located in the Ineligible Product section of the search results form once the admin user enables this functionality in the Admin menu.
From the Lock Request w/ Exception form, the loan officer will now fill in any additional information that is required including Rate, Price, and Lock period (these are not available on ineligible products). In addition, the loan officer will need to select an allowable Exception Reason from the drop down. These allowable exception reasons are configured by the admin user. The loan originator may also choose to input additional notes in the Exception Request Comments section.
