This article describes Encompass integration lock extensions best practices.
- We recommend setting the entity preferences to have Optimal Blue push Lock Extensions to the corresponding fields on the Secondary Lock Tool in Encompass, rather than push to the LLPA section on the Secondary Lock Tool. Pushing to these fields allows for Encompass reports to capture lock extension charges separate from other LLPAs.
- To configure this setting, please have Optimal Blue Client Services update the entity preference below to be marked as “Yes”.
- If you would like to have the number of days for the lock extension displayed, please have Optimal Blue Client Services update the entity preference below to be marked as “Yes.”
- To configure this setting, please have Optimal Blue Client Services update the entity preference below to be marked as “Yes”.
- We also recommend that you review the entity preference that determines from what date you want to base the extension. The two options are Original Lock Date and Current Expiration Date.
- The “Original Lock Date” option will extend the lock starting from the expiration date based on a calendar day calculation of the original lock date. For example, if the Original Lock Date had a 30-day lock but the expiration fell on a Saturday, and your expiration policy in Optimal Blue is to roll forward on weekends, then the lock would have been for 32 days. Using this setting a 5-day extension would change the expiration date by 3 days as the 2 days that were rolled forward would be included in the extension from original lock date.
- If the setting is set to “Current Expiration Date” in the above scenario, then the expiration date would change by 5 days. Please contact Optimal Blue Client Services to have them configure this setting to your business needs.
