This article describes the different ways to configure investor pricing activation and pricing expiration in advanced configuration mode.
For additional information see the Pricing Status User Guide.
To establish pricing status controls, begin on the Entity Selection screen. Choose the investor for which you want to set pricing controls, then click the Pricing Status/Import Activity Selection link to view the Product Status Summary screen. From this screen, click the CLICK HERE to View/Change Availability Settings link or the Go to Availability Controls button. Both methods will take you to the Pricing Status Controls screen.
To Set or Edit Pricing Controls Using the Advanced Configuration Mode
- Select Advanced Configuration from the Configuration Mode drop down menu.
- Select the Pricing Activation method from the drop down menu.
- Source Availability Event Based – Pricing activates when the source of pricing becomes active. In most configurations, this will be when Optimal Blue receives the rate sheet on which the product is based.
- Scheduled – Some products do not price daily, or may have special locking windows with an investor to honor “old” pricing. In these rare cases, the product can be configured to activate at a pre-set time.
- Manual – Requires an administrator to activate pricing from one of the configuration pages.
- Select the Pricing Expiration method from the drop down menu. If you do not select another option the default method will remain in effect (Scheduled Same Day or Investor Product Suspends Pricing).
- Scheduled (Same Day) or Investor Product Suspends Pricing – Default – Pricing will expire at a set time on the same day it is received. Also, if the product is using an investor product as the source of pricing, and that investor product moves into the suspended status, the product will also. Occasionally, Optimal Blue will suspend an investor’s products if we know there is a potential problem with their pricing or eligibility. In such circumstances, you should also receive an email alert from us advising you to the product’s status, but this expiration option offers an additional layer of protection.
- Scheduled (Same Day) – As above, but will remain active if Optimal Blue suspends pricing on the investor product. Available in Advanced Configuration only.
- Scheduled (Next Day) or Investor Product Suspends Pricing – Pricing will expire at a set time on the next calendar day (Overnight Protection). If the product is using an investor product as the source of pricing, and that investor product moves into the suspended status, the product will also.
- Scheduled (Next Day) – As above, but will remain active if Optimal Blue suspends pricing on the investor product. Available in Advanced Configuration only.
- Scheduled (Next Business Day) or Investor Product Suspends Pricing – Pricing will expire at a set time on the next business day (Overnight Protection), accounting for both weekends and holidays. Also, if the product is using an investor product as the source of pricing, and that investor product moves into the suspended status, the product will also.
- Scheduled (Next Business Day) – As above, but will remain active if Optimal Blue suspends pricing on the investor product. Available in Advanced Configuration only.

The products selected for update will now reflect the new Scheduled End Time.
