The Business Development Manager plays a key role in driving revenue for Optimal Blue, LLC from their home office and in their assigned territory. Successful candidates will have a proven track record in hunting, building, managing, and consistently delivering high performing sales through a consultative approach. Job Summary:

Guideline Specialists at Optimal Blue perform a variety of tasks to effectively manage the content of the Optimal Blue system. Guideline Specialists handle all aspects of content implementation and maintenance including research, programming, and quality assurance testing of investor specific content. Guideline Specialists also perform software testing for new or updated Optimal Blue system features. As a team, all Guideline Specialists must work together ensure all information is accurate and reliably represented within the Optimal Blue system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review investor product matrices, underwriting guidelines and rate sheets and program those eligibility rules and price adjustments with a high degree of accuracy into Optimal Blue’s internal system.
  • Completes content updates in an efficiently following department procedures.
  • Test products for accuracy using the Optimal Blue’s Lender system.
  • Participate in projects involving content related programming and QA testing for new and/or existing system functionality.
  • Gain strong knowledge base for individual investors, as well as Optimal Blue system features and functionality.
  • Research and resolve customer reported product eligibility and/or price adjustment issues.
  • Work together with Client Services, Investor Relations and Technical Departments on various projects.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Residential mortgage product knowledge (i.e., underwriting processing, lock desk, secondary market experience); familiarity with investor rate sheets and product guidelines preferred.
  • Strong analytical and auditing skills.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter, multi-task oriented, results driven and can work within and meet specific time constraints.
  • Ability to work independently but still cooperative in a fast-paced team environment.

Play a critical role in developing and executing against the corporate strategy around the creation and maintenance of market leading consumer engagement functionality.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Participates with Vice-President of Product and the executive team to identify and advocate for new product/service opportunities focused on improving consumer direct services that are valuable to our clients.

  • 8 or more years related product management and/or mortgage production operations management experience, preferably in a role that provided deep experience in the retail or wholesale mortgage origination business and provided in-depth familiarity with POS / LOS / PPE systems and offerings.
  • Deep experience and understanding around the regulatory guidelines that are important to direct to consumer mortgage origination and the industry in general.
