Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for accounting and controls at Optimal Blue, LLC. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting. The Accounting Manager will supervise a team of staff accountants, accounts payable and expense management administrators. The Accounting Manager is both an individual contributor and a team manager to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely manner.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the accounting, reporting and general ledger structure of the organization.
  • Manage the day-to-day, monthly, quarterly, and year-end operations of the Accounting department.
  • Oversee and ensure the appropriate processing of functional expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets, depreciation and recording of adjusted and reclassified journal entries.
  • Manage monthly financial reporting and variance analysis.
  • Manage audit process reporting, coordinating with auditors and internal staff.
  • Manage all accounting responsibilities as it relates to HR related activities to include payroll, 401(k), benefits billing and ADP system improvements.
  • Document and implement policies and procedures to enhance internal controls, resolve accounting issues and to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate.
  • Supervise the maintenance of fixed asset records and coordination of the fixed asset information with the IT department.
  • Participate in leading the monthly, quarterly, annual closes with all supporting work papers.
  • Prepare periodic GAAP financial statements, financial reports, and special analysis as required.
  • Administer all financial, travel and expense and bank systems and users to include providing training to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Support VP of Accounting and the CFO with special projects and workflow process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • 5 plus years Accounting experience
  • CPA required
  • Minimum of 2 years managing an Accounting department (A/P, reporting, systems, audits etc.) with people management responsibilities(i.e. performance management, scheduling, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience in a high growth or technology related organization highly preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite highly preferred

Job Summary:

Build internal and external relationships in support of the organization’s Content Distribution products. Work directly with our investors in the mortgage loan origination industry to ensure they continue to understand and see the value to them of participating in Optimal Blue’s products.

What will you do?

  • Proactively engage investors by phone and/or email addressing any questions, problems, and to get ahead of guideline changes, new programs, etc.
  • Responsible for ongoing training to build and maintain excellent investor relationships

  • At least two years’ experience in the mortgage lending industry (Underwriter, Processor or Secondary marketing roles are ideal)

The Senior Analyst role is comprised of three primary areas of responsibility; client management, trading, and analysis. Fifty percent of the time is spent in direct client contact and the other fifty percent is spent in trading, and analytical related duties such as pipeline hedging, P/L reporting/analysis, and other analysis.
