Optimal Blue users can automate exception products using a custom scriptable field. This method will allow for the use of historical pricing and all post lock automation. The custom field ‘Exception Product?’ with a Yes/No drop-down can determine product eligibility, pricing adjustments or auto-locking functionality. Example: If Exception Product is yes, allow for lower fico or if Exception Product is no, disqualify for the lower fico.

Encompass Setup
· Create custom field in Encompass.
· Make the field editable in Encompass, only for certain access levels (ex. Underwriter)
Optimal Blue Setup
Create a custom field in Optimal Blue on the necessary forms. Follow the custom scriptable field procedures.
- If you would like the custom field editable in Encompass and not in Optimal Blue, set the field to read-only inside Optimal Blue. With this option, Optimal Blue will pull in the value for this field from Encompass and the LO will not be able to edit this field in Optimal Blue.
- If you would like the custom field to be editable in Optimal Blue, set the field to Always/Read Write inside Optimal Blue. With this option, the LO would be able to select if an exception is needed or not and we will push this value back to Encompass.
