Optimal Blue’s Erin Wester named a 2026 Powerful Woman of Mortgage Banking
Chief product officer creates opportunities for women to lead and grow while guiding Optimal Blue’s connected capital markets product vision and AI innovation strategy
PLANO, Texas, Oct. 8, 2026 – Optimal Blue today announced that Chief Product Officer Erin Wester has been named one of Mortgage Banker magazine’s 2026 Powerful Women of Mortgage Banking. The annual recognition honors women whose leadership and contributions are shaping the mortgage industry.
Wester was recognized for shaping Optimal Blue’s product strategy around greater connectivity, transparency and practical applications of AI across the mortgage capital markets. Since becoming chief product officer in 2024, she has unified previously distinct product lines under a cohesive vision, introduced the company’s first public-facing four-quarter product roadmap and led the development of capabilities including Originator Assistant, Ask Obi and Virtual Economist, the first on-demand forecasting tool for mortgage capital markets leaders powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML).
Alongside her product leadership, Wester is a vocal advocate for expanding opportunities for women in mortgage technology. She mentors emerging leaders, advocates for promotions and stretch assignments and builds teams that bring different perspectives to the table.
“I've been incredibly fortunate to have leaders throughout my career who invested in me, challenged me, and gave me opportunities to grow. Their belief in me shaped not only my career, but also the leader I strive to be,” said Wester. “To me, leadership isn't about having all the answers. It's about creating an environment where people feel empowered to take risks, grow their capabilities, and become leaders themselves. Seeing others succeed is ultimately the most meaningful measure of success.”
Wester joined Optimal Blue in 2017 as a senior product manager and has taken on progressively broader product leadership responsibilities since then. Before becoming chief product officer, she led the execution of Optimal Blue’s API-first strategy, expanding its API library to connect thousands of clients with more than 70 third-party providers.
